About Denim
Based in Montreal
Born and raised on the east coast Denim takes her experience as an autistic trans man growing up in small town Prince Edward Island as a unique lens when conceptualizing her drag. She moved took a big leap and moved to Montreal in 2018 to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Intermedia and Cyber Arts at Concordia University.
Denim is widely known across Canada and beyond for her otherworldly looks and innovative high concept performances. She is best known for being on Canada's Drag Race Season 4 where she placed as a finalist in the top 4.
Denim’s drag is intrinsically linked to her neurodivergent trans identity and activism. She aims to expand the limits of drag and make it a more inclusive space while being both a representation and voice for the neurodiverse and trans communities.
As of 2024 Denim and her drag bestie Pythia have collaborated on many conceptual performances, supporting each other throughout their travels and co-creating their visually captivating, zany drag theatre debut of Oraculum at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in Toronto, ON.
Through her practice of performance, fashion, makeup, digital media, video, and textile art, drag became the best outlet to encapsulate all of her passions into one medium. With her effortless blend of Y2K reality TV bimbo fashion and futuristic clown aesthetic, it’s truly in her jeans.
