About Pearle Harbour

Based in Toronto

Sweet-as-pie and sharp-as-nails, Pearle Harbour is an award-winning sensation and Canada’s premiere drag tragicomedienne.

"Pearle has emerged as one of the most engaging, thoughtful performance artists around." – NOW Magazine

"Glamorous, poised, and devastatingly funny." – Xtra Magazine

"Looking like she sashayed out of a 1940s fashion mag, Pearle Harbour is part deliciously retro, part very much here and now." – Toronto Life Magazine

Pearle's original, theatrical works have been presented to rave critical and audience response across Canada, including at the Stratford Festival, Imperial Theatre, the Cultch, the High Performance Rodeo, the Yukon Arts Centre, and many more. She's published in Canadian Theatre review, featured on CBC-Gem (Canadian Screen Award-nominated to boot!), and developed work for NBC-Peacock.

As a drag dramatist and artist-educator, Pearle has shared her unique perspective at Queens University, University of New Brunswick, Randolph College for the Performing Arts, and Toronto Metropolitan University.

Selected accolades include Audience Choice Award (SummerWorks), Outstanding Solo Performance (Entertainment World), 3 Dora Mavor-Moore Award nominations (Outstanding Performance and Costume Design), and the Jon Kaplan Legacy Fund Award for A Canadian Theatre Performer.
